Q: What is therapy?
A: Therapy is a space to understand yourself better, process emotions, and develop tools to navigate life’s challenges. It’s a collaborative process aimed at personal growth, healing, and change.Q: What is the process like?
A: We start by understanding your concerns, goals, and what brought you to therapy. Over time, we explore patterns, build coping strategies, and create a path forward that feels right for you. Sessions are a mix of conversation, reflection, and tools tailored to your needs.Q: What are the dos and don’ts?
A:
✔️ Be open and honest about your thoughts and feelings.
✔️ Attend sessions consistently for progress.
✔️ Ask questions if something isn’t clear.
❌ Don’t expect instant solutions—therapy is a process.
❌ Don’t judge yourself for what you feel or share.
❌ Don’t hesitate to communicate if something isn’t working for you.Q: What is the duration of the sessions?
A: Sessions are for 50 minutes. I recommend weekly sessions for at least six weeks for new clients, after which some choose to move to biweekly sessions. Therapy lasts as long as it remains helpful—some people benefit from a few months, while others continue for years.

Q: Am I the right fit for you?
A: Like any real relationship, the therapist-client connection takes time to build. Trust develops as you feel comfortable opening up about your experiences and challenges. My role is to support you in finding your own solutions rather than providing ready-made answers. Some trial and error is natural in the process of finding the right therapist, and it’s okay if you’re unsure at first. If you ever feel hesitant about any aspect of our work together, I encourage you to bring it up—we can explore what’s working and what might need adjusting. If needed, I can also help guide you toward a therapist who may be a better fit for your needs.Q: How do I prepare for my first session?
A: There’s no right or wrong way to prepare! Take a moment to think about why you’re seeking therapy, what you’d like support with, and any questions you may have. Just show up as you are—there’s no pressure.Q: Do you offer online therapy?
A: Yes, I offer both online and in-person sessions in New Delhi. Online therapy is a great option if you have a busy schedule or prefer the comfort of your own space.
-
Q: What if I don’t know what to talk about in therapy?
A: That’s completely okay! Some sessions may be structured, while others may flow naturally based on what’s on your mind. I’ll help guide the conversation, so you don’t need to have everything figured out before coming in.
Q: How do I know if therapy is working for me?
A: You may notice shifts in how you think, feel and respond to challenges. Growth isn’t always linear, but if you feel more aware, capable, or lighter in some way, therapy is likely working. We’ll regularly check in on your progress together.Q: What if I want to stop therapy?
A: Therapy is your choice, and you can stop at any time. If you’re thinking of ending therapy, we can discuss it in a session to ensure you feel supported in that decision.
